Denney Lighting & Design/Denney Electric Supply Return Policy

 

Denney Lighting and Design wants you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If for some reason you are unhappy with any product or it doesn’t match your décor, our customer service team will guide you through our easy return policy.

 

30 Day Return Policy

If you would like to return an item that is in like new condition with the original product tags, packaging, and has not been installed, used, or modified in any way, you may return the item to us at your expense within 30 days of receipt. Any additional fees for shipping internationally, shipping to HI or AK, or any minimum order fees are all non-refundable. Customers who place orders online are responsible for the accuracy of their product selection and information entered. Customers,  who place their orders via phone or email, must review receipt of their order within 24 hours to confirm accuracy.

 

Returns with Restocking Fees

Some manufacturers charge a restocking fee to return items to their factory. If you return an item with a restocking fee, it will be deducted from the refund.

 

Non-Returnable and Custom Made Products

Built to order or custom made products are non-returnable. If there is any question at the time of ordering, you can speak with one of our lighting sales team to determine the manufacturer’s policies.

Return Process:

1. Call us at 800-642-1120 and speak with our lighting showroom to discuss the problem

2. Pack the product in original shipping box and well to avoid damages

3. Ship & insure the product using a carrier that provides both a shipping/tracking number and a signature to confirm the item was delivered. Please do not use USPS because they cannot guarantee these two processes. We suggest UPS or FedEx for the most efficient delivery to us.

4. You have 30 days to return the unwanted product from the date that your return is approved by our lighting showroom. After 30 days, the Return Authorization will expire and no replacements or refunds will be given.

5. When the returned item has been received and inspected to verify all of the original contents and packaging are free of damage, modification, or wear, the refund credit process will begin.

Refunds will be made in the same method of payment or via check from Denney Electric Supply, within 14 days of receipt of the returned products.

Items returned without proper pre-approval are subject to a restocking fee of 50% or greater.

Please do not request a charge back on your credit card during the return process. In order to expedite the process, please follow our steps laid forward. Otherwise it can take upward of 180 days to credit you until the charge back mediation process has been completed. This will prolong the process of your return and refund. Thank you for understanding.

 

Items Not Eligible for Returns:

-Custom orders-special finishes, glass, or combinations not offered standard from the manufacturer

-Clearance items, Close-outs, Discontinued Specials, etc.

-Any item that has been installed, modified, used, including clipped or cut wires on a light fixture

-Any items that has not been requested an RGA from our showroom within 30 days of receipt

-Consumable products including parts, bulbs, and shades

-Expedited shipping charges or special handling fees from the manufacturer or shipper

-Items that were not purchased from Denney Lighting & Design or Denney Electric Supply

 

Damaged & Defective Goods Policy

We understand that a product may be damaged in shipping or that a manufacturer may have a defective product occasionally. We want to correct any damaged orders in a timely and low stress manner. It is vital that the customer inspect the product delivery carefully and in a timely manner so that the problem can be resolved quickly.

All packages from UPS or FedEx- please notify us within 2 days of delivery so that we can file a claim on your behalf within their required 7 day delivery window. Failure to do this may result in a delay or denial of product credit,  with the manufacturer for replacements or refunds.

Failure to follow return procedure for the damaged item may result in a charge for the replacement item.

Return items that are claimed to be damaged, but are found to be in working order and free of defects, may not be eligible for a refund. In such cases, Denney Electric Supply will email or call you to determine whether you would like the item shipped back to you at your expense or be refunded 50% restocking charge and store credit.

 

Cancellation Process:

If you need to cancel an order, please call our store directly and speak to our customer service person or our lighting showroom salespeople so that we can complete the process correctly. Please avoid emailing us or leaving voicemails that may be overlooked or misdirected. We will need to contact the manufacturer to cancel your products. Any items that have shipped from the manufacturer are subject to our standard return policy as previously stated and cannot be cancelled, rerouted, or redirected. Do not refuse delivery of your non-damaged products as this may result in restocking fees of 50% or result in the loss of the product and may void any possibility of a refund. Roundtrip shipping charges may also apply. Some items that are special order or custom cannot be cancelled. Please see the section labeled Non- Returnable and Custom Made Products.

Items on Backorder

If you are considering cancelling your order due to a manufacturer backorder, we recommend that you call our store (Mon-Fri 9-5 EST, Sat 9-3 EST) first to confirm that your item(s) has not shipped or are about the ship from the manufacturer. For the most up to date information, please do not email.  If the item is unavailable for an extended period, we apologize for the inconvenience. We are happy to help you cross over to another similar product or cancel your order as needed.

Exchange Policy

If you would like to exchange an item that is in like new condition in original packaging, you may do so within 30 days of receipt. Custom made products cannot be exchanged. Restocking fees will be assessed dependent upon the manufacturer that the original order and the new order are derived from-these will be adjusted on an individual basis as the manufacturer allows. If the item was part of a free shipping promotion, our initial shipping & handling charges will be deducted from the refund  as well.

Price, specifications, and terms of offers are subject to change without notice. With thousands of products in our online store, we encounter errors from time to time in the contents of our website. By placing an order with Denney Lighting and Design or Denney Electric Supply, you are accepting this possibility and will not hold Denney Lighting and Design or Denney Electric Supply responsible for typographical and/or photographic errors. With respect to the pricing of all items on our website, we cannot confirm the price of each item until it is entered as an order into our system. Any price discrepancies   will be brought to your attention before your order is processed. Despite our best efforts, some items on our website may be mispriced. If the item is higher than listed online, we will at our discretion either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of the cancellation. By placing an order with Denney Lighting and Design and/or Denney Electric Supply, you agree that Denney will not be held liable for price discrepancies  and you acknowledge and understand that human error does occur occasionally when dealing with so many products in our online store. We apologize if we cause any inconvenience to you.
